Cupidita (Latin meaning eager, passionate desire)

Welcome to the official Birmingham Cupiditas for Cancer Research UK website.  We are a fundraising group based in Birmingham, West Midlands.

We are a seven person fundraising group formed in 2007 to help raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK to prevent, treat & cure cancer.
Many of us were already fundraisers and volunteers for the charity and wanted to join together with other ‘like-minded’ local people to organise our very own (very individual) events.  The goal of all Birmingham Cupiditas events is to not only raise important funds but to also raise awareness of Cancer Research UK, its local research Institute in Birmingham, and the charity’s important health awareness campaigns.

Like most people in the UK, we have all been touched by this disease either personally, or through a friend or relative, and we have made it our passion to get involved and help Cancer Research UK save lives.

Birmingham Cupiditias fundraise in Birmingham through the organisation of events such as their annual ‘Charity Wedding Ball’, and the ‘Autumn 2008 Cupiditas Fashion Show’.   The group also organise a variety of smaller events & often operate collections at local stores & supermarkets.  If you are interested in joining Birmingham Cupiditas or helping them by volunteering at future events or collections, please contact the Chair Karen Grice, via our contact page or on 07968 019670
